LOWER PROMENADE AT LIDO

I went to further investigate the problems at the Lido lower promenade today. I viewed the path from above (see photo) and from the basement area beneath the path.

It certainly appears to be a serious safety issue and one which needs the full attention of professional engineers so I will not comment further at this point.

The basement area causing the problems is privately owned.

However, I have asked council officers to explore the possiblitiy of an alternative route for walkers at promenade / beach level in the interim and whilst a permanent solution to the problem is found.
