THANET HEALTH REFERENCE GROUP - FEBRUARY 2017
Members of our Thanet Health Reference Group met recently at NHS Thanet Clinical Commissioning Group offices for our February meeting.
The chairpersons and delegates from general practice patient participation groups across Thanet came together for our bi-monthly meeting to help inform local health commissioners, comment on future plans and to promote best practice in relation to patient involvement across the districts individual GP practices.
Andrew Barker of East Kent Hospitals Foundation Trust gave us a comprehensive update on NHS information technology in East Kent and members provided important feedback.
Emma Halliday of NHS England also discussed ‘Patients Online’ services with group members.
With the help of our Senior Engagement Associate - Katie Blissett - I updated members on patient and public engagement matters relating to the NHS East Kent Delivery Board and the NHS Kent and Medway Sustainability and Transformation Plan.
Big thanks to the Thanet Extra and the Isle of Thanet Gazette for promoting our groups work on their pages once more. Thanks also to our two guest presenters Andrew Barker and Emma Halliday and especially to Katie Blissett who supports HRG members and facilitates our Thanet Health Reference Group meetings.
